Mikaela represents PHR in Para Dressage circles, competing on her lovely mare Rappa.

 

 

  1. What is your most overused phrase? “You can be good but be humble about it.”
  2. What phobias do you have? “Rodents and stair escalators.”
  3. What’s the most recent app you’ve downloaded? “FEI Para Equestrian tests.”
  4. What is your favourite part about working with PHR? “My favourite part would be interacting with my very supportive team members and that everything can be custom made to suit you.”
  5. Which is the most challenging horse you’ve ridden, and why? “My current mare Rappa, she has been one of the best horses I’ve ever ridden, has taught me so much but also thrown me many a challenge.”

  7. What was the first concert you attended? “Lady Antebellum.”
  8. If you were a superhero, your superpower would be… “To read minds. It would take the guesswork out of things.”
  9. Your motto or personal mantra? “Never give up on your dreams.”
  10. If you had to eat one meal, every day, for the rest of your life, what would it be? “Shepard’s pie.”

Which are your favourite events and why? “My favourite events would have to be the Riding for the Disabled NSW State Dressage Championships and Gymkhana, and the Riding for the Disabled Australia National Championships because it’s where I started and when I’m there it’s like I’m with a second family.”

  2. Are you messy or organised? “I can be a bit of both.”
  3. What is the best book you have ever read? “The Horse Whisper.”
  4. The best piece of advice you've ever been given is… “Those who mind don’t matter those who matter don’t mind.”

    16. If you could take a ride on any horse, past or present, which one would it be? “Timor Vegemite. He was the very first horse I competed on in dressage and prior to this took his rider to the podium winning a bronze medal in the Sydney Paralympics.”

  2. What is your biggest pet peeve? “People underestimating ability due to disability.”
  3. What’s your most memorable facepalm moment? “Mucking up a speech in front of the whole school then admitting it.”

    20. Any superstitions when it comes to competing? “I have a lucky key ring that was given to me by a friend (horse themed of course). Every event I have it in a pocket.”
